He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gian Chan Vakil MD and Ishwari Devi Vakil; his wife Usha Vakil; his son Dr. Nakul Vakil; his daughter-in-law Dr. Karem Clementina Harth; his granddaughters, Isabella and Maya Vakil; and his brothers, Shri Mahesh Vakil, Dr. Bhagawan Vakil and Man Mohan Vakil.
