He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Roedel and Stella Roedel of Frankenmuth, MI; and his sister Ruth Geyer (Bill). He is survived by: his wife Kate (Manning); his sons, Carl (Jenn), Edward (Kate) and Grampie; his grandchildren, Natalie, Wilson, Brendan, Samuel, Cole and Elizabeth; and his brother Al Roedel (Kathy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
