He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elizabeth Smith (Phillips) and Donald John Smith; his wife Beverly Smith (Rowlings); his daughters, Diana Gallagher (Sean) of Hingham, Deborah Smith of Carver and Virginia Hartnett (James) of Exeter, NH; his grandchildren, Heather Gallagher Byrnes (Daniel) of Quincy, Ruthanne Gallagher of Hingham, Catherine O'Neil Singleton (Tanner) of Murray, UT, Alicia Hartnett of Exeter, NH and Cole Hartnett of Exeter, NH; his great grandchild Benjamin Byrnes of Quincy; and his sisters-in-law, Virginia Jackson (Rowlings) of North Yarmouth, ME and Diane Rowlings (Kendrick) of Chatham, MA. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
