He is survived by: his wife Marianne Barney of Bradford, MA; his children, Michael Barney (Sheryl) of Harwinton, CT and Susan Peters (Matthew) of Raymond, NH.; his stepchildren, Lorraine Carboni of Lakeville, MA, Steven N. Cassotis of Raleigh, NC and Stephanie Messina (Eric) of Chester, NH.; his grandchildren, Molly, Jack Barney, Casey Peters, Cory-Robert, Alexander Gauthier, Eric, Matthew, Andrew Messina, Caprielle, Kendelle Carboni and Steven Cassotis (Olivia); his great grandchild Koen Carboni; and his sister Mary Hatch (Jan) of Gardner, MA.
Throughout his career, Bob's work took him to various corners of the globe, including Thailand, the Netherlands, and Lowell, where he made valuable contributions to the field of technology.
