He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Champagne and Alice Champagne (Lampron); and his siblings, Marie Glidden, Robert and James Champagne.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Champagne (Nolin); his daughters, Doreen Champagne and Laura Hutchins; his grandsons, Wyatt and Henry Hutchins; and his siblings, Gloria Hooper and Roger Champagne.
