Nathan James Scanlon Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nathan James Scanlon of Haverhill, Massachusetts, born in Methuen, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 8, 2023 at the age of 17. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandmother Mary Holland-Derby of North Andover. He is survived by: his parents, Kevin Scanlon and Amanda Scanlon of North Andover; his grandparents, Stephen Derby, Thomas and Christine Scanlon of Sutton; his great-grandparent Stella Bailey of Whitinsville, MA.; his aunt Jennifer Spearman; his uncle Ty Spearman; his cousins, Kaileigh and Tyler Spearman of Pensacola, FL; his uncles, Mark Scanlon of Brockton, MA and Christopher Stanhope of Springfield, MA.; his friends, Miguel, Matt, Grace of Kyle, AJ and PJ; his cousins, Evan, Alison, Megan, Bob, Jackie, Michelle and Monica; and also, Tim Velten, Kevin McCurley and Dan Bilido.

In lieu of flowers, we would love to have everyone bring or send to the Conte Funeral Home a stuffed animal, toy, puzzle, or game that we will be donating to the Pediatric Oncology Department at MGH in Boston, where Nathan received the majority of his care by Dr. David Ebb and his incredible team.
