She was predeceased by: her brother Leonardo Montanez. She is survived by: her parents, Raul Montanez and Carmen M. Ramirez; her children, Shophero Velez and Querube Velez (Andrew); and her siblings, Jose Montanez (Tatiana), Anita Echevaria (Pedrinho Omar) and Chantel Montanez. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
