He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Murphy and Ann Murphy (Nolan); his wife Jacquelyn "Jackie" M. Murphy (Clarke); and his siblings, Edward A., Richard J., William L., Joseph G., James F. Murphy, Dorothy Murphy, Marguerite "Peg" Murphy and Marilyn Hefferan.
He is survived by: his children, Jean M. (Colin P. Kennedy) of Haverhill, Thomas P. Murphy (Julie A.) of Haverhill and Patricia A. Murphy-Painchaud (Donald G. Painchaud) of Hudson, NH; his sister-in-law Cora Mae "Mickey" Murphy of Newburyport; his grandchildren, Sgt. Justin T. Murphy (Karrie D.) of Hampton, NH, Jarred L. Murphy (Bridget C.) of West Newbury, MA, Ryan P. Kennedy (Ashley M.) of Braintree, MA and Brendan M. Kennedy (Amie L. Morrison) of Alfred, ME; and his great grandchildren, Cormac W. Kennedy of Alfred, ME, Erin R. Kennedy of Braintree, MA and Justin T. Murphy Jr. of Hampton, NH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, visitation and Funeral Mass will be private.
