He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Shibel and Georgette Shibel (Bashalany); and his brother Kenneth Shibel. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Shibel (Trombley); his sons, Michael K. (Susan Shibel), Christopher J. Shibel (Jackie O'Brien) and John A. (Heather Shibel); his sister Kathleen Hansen of Manchester, CT; his grandchildren, Aaron, Zoe, Casey, Mollie, MacKenzie, Alexa, Nicholas, Cameron, Hailee and Skyla; and his great grandchild Aspen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Centerpoint Community Church, or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA.
