He was predeceased by: his father Frederick M. Moriarty; and his brother Kevin P. Moriarty. He is survived by: his mother Patricia A. Moriarty (Joyce); his children, Chelsea (John Rodenhiser) and Michael (Laura Yepes); his stepdaughters, Stephanie (Joshua Hood) and Jessica (Ian Zappala); his grandchildren, Andrew, Alivia, Julian, Joshy, Jackson, Jacob, Natalie and Rocco; and his brothers, Chief Brian Moriarty (Kimberley) and Dennis (Nikki).

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home (486 Main St, Haverhill, MA 01830). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
