She was predeceased by: her parents, James Monahan and Jean Monahan (Cisek); and her sister Katherine Monahan. She is survived by: her husband Edward E. Hamel; her children, Paul E. Hamel (Maureen) of Enfield, CT, Nancy Shields (Bill) of Gloucester, Carol Leach (Joseph) of Ogunquit, ME, Neil J. Hamel (Kristina) of Atkinson, NH and Julie Walsh (Michael) of Haverhill; her grandchildren, Leah Jarkian (Garen), Robert M DeGregorio III (Jessie), David Hamel (Ashley), Colin Hamel (Hillary), Eric Walsh (Nicole), Allyson Walsh and David Dailey (Ashley); and her siblings, Barbara Monahan and James Monahan (Mary). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
