He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Basiliere and Eva Basiliere (Dionne); and his sister Shirley Comeau. He is survived by: his wife Rita M. Basiliere (Legault); his daughter Mary Ann; his son-in-law Neil Chambers of Salisbury; his grandchildren, Matthew A. Smart (Amanda) of Newton, NH, Jennifer Chambers of Haverhill and Heather Chambers of Salisbury; his great grandchildren, Luke and Chloe Smart; and his sisters, Joanne Gagnon (Charles) of Haverhill and Betty Ann Mitchell (John) of Haverhill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Saint Ann's Home and School, 100 A Haverhill St., Methuen, MA.
