She was predeceased by: her parents, Joshua Stanley and Neddie Stanley; her brother James Stanley; her great-niece Doris May Young; and her pet Gamby.
She is survived by: her husband Richard May, Sr.; her son Richard May, Jr. (Emmy); her grandsons, James May and James May, Jr.; her sisters, Cecilia Spaulding and Doris Young; her nieces and nephews, William Young (Rhoda), Joshua Young (Allison) and Thomas Young (Shannon); and her godson Alexander Cooper (Phoebe). She is also survived by sixteen great-nieces and great-nephews with one great-nephew on the way; twenty-eight great great-nieces and nephews.
