He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Johnston and Blanche Johnston (Glowacki); his former wife Wendy Johnston (Mehl); and his brother Joe Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Lynne Ann Johnston (Zmetrovich) of Haverhill; his daughters, Courtney Johnston of Vienna, VA and Lindsay Johnston of Haverhill; his sister Mary Sayess (Jalal) of Port St; his grandchildren, Ella, Allison, Cole and Miles; his parents-in-law, Anthony and Patricia Zmetrovich of Haverhill; his sister-in-law Janet Johnston of Chester, NH; and his pets, Brynley, Winston, Stella and Caper. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
