He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonardo Cassanelli and Giuseppina Cassanelli (Patroni); his granddaughter Madison; his children, Angela Cassanelli of New Haven, CT and Leo Cassanelli of Jay, VT; his sister Donna Ohannesian (John "Sam") of Bradford; and his nieces and nephews, Jocelyn Cassanelli-Kenneally, Maria Ohannesian, Rosanna O'Connell, Diana Ouellete, Josie Cassanelli and Leonard Cassanelli.
