He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Freeman Gibbs Thacher and Hattie Mae Thacher (Hersey); his pets, Susie, Luke, Harry and Alice; his wife Beverly Thacher (Theus-Chase); his siblings, Ben Thacher, Nancy Reid, Olive Wiper, Jayne Cash and Polly Sherman; his children, Vicki Kennelly, Jayne Thacher and Ray Thacher; his grandchildren, Amanda Daniels, Raymond Thacher and Kory Thacher; his great grandchildren, Keegan Nee, Loreli Cohen-Kennelly and Ryan Daniels; and his grandson Caleb F. Childs.
