Miyoko Hazelrigg Obituary
We bid farewell to Miyoko Hazelrigg (Harvard, Massachusetts), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 9, 2025 at the age of 82. Miyoko touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Dan Hazelrigg; her parent Noboru Yorita; her grandson Thomas Peik; and her brother Hiromi Yorita. She is survived by: her children, John (Jenna Hazelrigg), Jim (Florence Hazelrigg), Leslie (Ron Peik), Theresa Hazelrigg (Tom Clasby), Patrick (Jill Hazelrigg), Catherine (Eric London), Frank Hazelrigg and Joseph (Shanna Hazelrigg); her siblings, Masumi Yorita, Chiyoko (Takeshi Yamane), Hiroshi (Diane Yorita), Yasuo Yorita and Miriam Teresa; and her friends, Vi Kane, Rosemary Infante and Anthony Billingslea. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Ann's House. A Mass was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Saint Benedict Center-Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel (282 Still River Rd, Harvard, MA 01451). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the St. Anthony Cemetery.
It was Miyoko's wish that in lieu of flowers, Masses and prayers would be offered in her memory for the repose of her soul.
