He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Fitzgibbons and Eileen Fitzgibbons (McTague); his brother John of Binghamton, NY; and his children, Thomas and Mary Teresa.

He is survived by: his children, Susan (Bobby Sullivan) of Plymouth, MA, Eileen Fitzgibbons of Plymouth, MA, Tim (Micki Fitzgibbons) of Mansfield, MA, Tricia (Pat Brown) of Simsbury, CT, Michael (Susan Fitzgibbons) of Nashua, NH, Kathy (Mike Reagan) of Avon, CT, Kevin Fitzgibbons of Plymouth, MA and Jim (Kelley Fitzgibbons) of Whitman, MA.; and his grandchildren, Meghan, Matt, Nicole, Tommy, Dan, Steven, Michael, Kevin, Kaitlin, Tim and Nick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
