He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Sharland and Eleanor Sharland (Goodsell); and his brothers, Donald, Robert and George.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Sharland (Deana) of Sebastian, Christopher Sharland (Deborah) of Portsmouth, RI, Timothy Sharland of Hanson, Patty Stewart (Dave) of Whitman, Michael Sharland of Las Vegas and Kathleen Duggan of Tralee, Ireland.; his grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Alex, Conley, Brooke, Matthew, Zachary, Justin, Shawn, Sydney, Christine, Graham and Hailey; his great grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Penelope, Lily and Patrick; and his brother Larry Sharland (Christine) of Kingston.
