She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bachant and Ruth Bachant (Shield); and her husband John C. Collins. She is survived by: her children, John (Sharon) of Halifax, Jim of Halifax, Jean Marie of Whitman and Joe (Erika); and her brother Peter Bachant of Hull. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
