He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burton Cookson and Martha Simmons Cookson. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, John B. Cookson III (Kathy) of Hanson, Cynthia Cookson (Bobbio Sallaway) of Braintree and Vicki Cookson (William Metcalf) of Hanson; his grandchildren, Jeffery Bowman (Tammy), Janel Smith (John), Mathew Rabinovitz (Jess) and John Cookson IV; his sister Janet Hobill (Norman) of Pembroke; and his grandson Sean Bowman. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
