He was predeceased by: his parents, Joaquim and Zulmira. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie (Simpson); his children, Michael Batista (Armie), Heather Batista of Rhode Island, Jill Harkins (Christopher) and Jamie Escalera (Jaime); his siblings, Carol Batista, Peter of Rhode Island, Jack Batista, Ella of South Carolina, Mary Porto and Tony of Portugal; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Albro-Batista, Julia Albro-Batista, Kai Escalera, Avri Harkins, Keegan Harkins and Sloane Escalera.
