He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard R. Gallagher and Frances M. Gallagher (Flaherty); and his siblings, Patricia Topalian (Gallagher), Willard, Edward and Francis Gallagher.

He is survived by: his significant other Faythe M. Gallagher (Bustin); his children, Kim Woodford (Peter) of Scituate, Lisa Gallagher (Russell Longuemare) of Pembroke and Robert M. Gallagher (Kristen) of Bridgewater; and his grandchildren, Ryan Woodford (Tracey) of Cohasset, Alanna Woodford of Scituate, Danielle Longuemare of Pembroke, Mairead, Maeve and Aidan Gallagher of Bridgewater. He is also survived by Uncle and "Grampy" to his extended family.
