He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bruce and Helen Bruce (Farrell); his siblings, Richard Bruce and Frances Parsons (Susie); and his niece Suzanne Parsons (Sissy).

He is survived by: his wife Noreen Bruce; his children, Robert Bruce (Laurel Gaddy) of Pembroke and Laura Rappaport (Daryl Rappaport) of Hanover; and his grandchildren, Declan and Mae. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.
