He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Thornton (Sullivan) and John Thornton; and his wife Kelley Thornton (Meagher). He is survived by: his children, Amanda Thornton of Hanover, Christopher Thornton (Jill) of Marshfield and Erin Thornton of Hanover; his grandchildren, Ryland, Wesley and Hunter; and his siblings, Jack Thornton (Patricia), Bill Thornton (Darlene), Janice Thornton and Jerry Thornton (Anne).
