He is survived by: his spouse Carolyn Tavares (Carreiro) of Hanover; his children, Michael Tavares (Kristina) of Weymouth and Carla Strange (Brian) of Tyngsboro; his parent Georgina Tavares; and his siblings, Mary Ann Tavares and Herbert Tavares. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
