He was predeceased by: his wife Susan M. Thompson (Strassell); his sibling Jerry Thompson; and his parents, Lewis G. Thompson and Amy E. Thompson (Lawes). He is survived by: his children, Shannon Dahill (James) and David (Amy); and his siblings, Sally Tibbetts, Shirley Ainslie of Hanover, Margie Tyrie of Norwell and Edwin Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
