He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean B. (Dent); his parents, Curtis C. Riggs and Lillian E. Riggs (Burkhardt); and his siblings, Robert Riggs (Polly) and Ila Mae Hooker (Carl).
He is survived by: his son Steven (Karen Carlow); his grandchildren, Kara Hatch (RJ Hatch) of Wilbraham, MA and Anthony Mercolino (Lindsay Arielle) of Holyoke, MA; his brother James Riggs (Jan) of Indianapolis, IN; and also Nicholas Mercolino of Hampden, MA.
