Scott T. Johnson Obituary
Scott T. Johnson, of Gloucester, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family on September 15, 2023 at age 64. After being diagnosed with glioblastoma in February of 2021, he persevered against all odds and lived life to its fullest. Son of Theodore E. Johnson and Vizma (Aprans) Wren, Scott was born in Beverly, MA.
Scott was a member of the Hamilton Wenham Class of 1977 and graduated with an Applied Science degree from Harvard College in 1981. Scott also received his MSEE from Northeastern University and his MBA from Bentley University. Scott is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jane (Thompson) Johnson, son Adam, daughter Hannah, father Theodore Johnson, brother Eric Johnson and his wife Janet, brother Zachary Johnson, sister Kristen Wyco and her husband Robert, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his mother Vizma (Aprans) Wren and sister Kimberly McCormack.
Scott loved his family and the outdoors. He particularly enjoyed alpine snow boarding and mountain biking. Scott and Jane raised their family in Hamilton, living there for more than 33 years. Scott worked for 37 years as an electrical engineer and ultimately chief executive at Comdel, Inc., a business his father started in 1963. Scott was known for his quick wit, intelligence, sense of humor
and his love of music.
A celebration of life will be held at the First Congregational Church Hamilton 624 Bay Rd, South Hamilton, MA 01982 on Monday, September 25 at 11 AM followed by a reception at the Elks Lodge, 97 Atlantic Road, Gloucester from 1 PM to 4 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. Burial will be at the Hamilton Cemetery.
