He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Paul Cahill, Jessica Cahill and Ashley Cahill; his son-in-law William Schaible; his siblings, Bill Cahill (Eleanor) of Massachusetts, Mary Anne O'Connell (Tom) of Michigan, Jane Lisauskas (Rich) of Maine, Liz Cahill of Massachusetts and Maggie Cahill (Bruce) of Rhode Island; his wife Beth Cahill; his brother Patrick Cahill; and his parents, John Cahill and Mary Cahill (Carroll). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM and on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home (51 Marcy St, Southbridge, MA 01550). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (St. John Paul II Parish) (263 Hamilton St, Southbridge, MA 01550).
