He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Beryl Foster (Gaul); his children, Karen Coffelt of Halifax, Wanda Mikuchonis of Texas, Dawn Foster of Alaska, Kenneth Foster of Plymouth and Hope Foster of Halifax; his grandchildren, Chrystal Foster, Ryan Mikuchonis and Alicia Foster; his brothers, Donald Foster of Maine and Richard Foster of Germany; and his parents, Henry Foster and Ruth Foster (Theberath).

He was cared for in his home by his daughters, Hope and Karen, during his early stages of Alzheimers.
