He is survived by: his wife Barbara Brenton (Ibbitson) of Halifax; his child John Brenton Jr.; his wife Erin of Kingston; his siblings, Roy Brenton of Weymouth, Geraldine Atherton of Florida, Derek Brenton of Bridgewater, Albert Brenton of Medfield, Bert, Frank, Max, Kenneth, Doris, Roberta Brenton and Helen Follen; and also, Michael Brenton (Rebekah) of Hingham and Katie Brenton of Weymouth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
