He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard M. Thayer and Florence M. Thayer (Mellen); his wife Elizabeth L (Thayer); his children, Joshua Thayer (Melissa Misicka) of Medford, Jeremy Thayer (Elizabeth Charlebois) of Hadley, Jessica Thayer of Easthampton and Aaron Thayer (Abby) of Easthampton; his grandchildren, Lucy, Samuel and Calvin; and his siblings, Thomas Thayer (Nina) of Greenfield, Bruce Thayer (Gail) of Florida and Rick Thayer (Mary) of Hadley. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
