He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph A. Esty and Vera Esty (Bagley); his brothers, Hobart B. Esty (Nancy) and Frederick Esty; his half-brother Ralph Esty Jr.; his sister Barbara Esty Maughan (Leo); his brother-in-law John Craven; his daughter Linda J. Esty Eddy; and his granddaughter Courtney Lynne Eddy (late Irene Morley Esty).
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Esty; his son Steven R. Esty (Nancy Emerson Esty); his stepsons, Victor Jr. Duphily, III (Denise Maloney Duphily) and Stephen J. Duphily (Stephanie Duphily); his siblings, Greta Esty Craven and Howard T. Esty (Shirley Esty); and his grandchildren, Alison Esty Gilbert, Sarah Esty Sadzewicz (Justin), Sophia L Duphily and Stephen V. Duphily.
