He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Thornton and Marion Thornton (Seavey). He is survived by: his wife Brenda Thornton (Klotzle); and his children, Robert Thornton (Jennifer) of Stuart, FL, Peter Thornton (JoAnn) of Danville, NH, Andrew Thornton of Groveton, NH and Suzanne DeNunzio (Thomas) of Warwick, RI. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
