We are sad to announce that on August 17, 2023, at the age of 89, Patricia Jane (Oneill) Dewhirst of Groveland, Massachusetts, born in Haverhill, Massachusetts passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Patricia Jane (Oneill) Dewhirst to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sydney O'Neill and Marjorie O'Neill (Bateman); her husband William Dewhirst; and her sister Mary Ellen Colburn. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Greaney of Groveland, Lenny Greaney (Ed Yarbrough) of Palm Desert, CA and Donald Greaney (Elaine) of Groveland; her sister Linda A. Campbell (Kenneth) of Salem, NH.; her grandchildren, Jenna Briscoe (Daniel), Leigh Greaney (Nicholas Bush) and Jake Greaney; and her great grandchild Austin William Briscoe.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to benefit beautification projects at her beloved Dr. Elmer S. Bagnall School. Contributions in her memory may be made out to the Patricia J. Dewhirst RN Fund c/o Pentucket Bank (1 Merrimack St., Haverhill, MA 01830).

“I had the pleasure of volunteering for many years alongside Pat in the school nurse's office. She was so sweet to all the children that passed through her door at Bagnall. Also joined her and the Groveland Nurses at their monthly club meetings, where I met many other lovely ladies in the Groveland Nurses Club. I have very fond memories of this gracious and beautiful Lady. My sincerest condolences to her children and grandchildren who she loved to brag about and share pictures. RIP friend.”
