With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Samuel Whitman of Groton, Massachusetts, born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 4, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Whitman and Selma Whitman (Lehto). He is survived by: his sister Joyce of Lunenburg, MA.; his children, Carole E. Whitney of Jackson, ME, Robert S. Whitman of Jackson, ME, Kathy L. Whitman of Groton, MA, Steven J. Whitman of Lunenburg, MA, James M. Whitman of Lunenburg, MA and Susan M. Whitman of Leominster, MA.; his grandsons, Sam of Jackson, ME and Frank of Groton, MA.; and his wife Nancy E. Whitman.
