He was predeceased by: his siblings, William, Chester, Morris and Joanne Daley (Holston). He is survived by: his wife Lorene N. Holston; his children, Dean E. Holston (Teresa) of Pelham, Melanie J. Clark (Holston) of Gainesville, Virginia and Jonathan L. Holston (Heather) of Gilbert, Arizona; his grandchildren, Derek Holston (Chelsey), Kurt Holston (Katelyn), Kortney Murphy (Bryan), Shyla Costenbader (Daniel), Michael Clark (Kimberly MacFarlane), Sarah Holston and Jacob Holston; his great grandchildren, Kali, Kinley Holston, Liam and Jack Holston; and his sister Nancy Forest (Holston). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
