He was predeceased by: his parents, Omar B. Merrill and Kathryn Merrill (Decker). He is survived by: his wife Joan Merrill (Newton); his children, Gerald Merrill Jr., Dawn, Pam Irish (Merrill), Tony, Brian Merrill, Mark Merrill, Kristie and Denise Merrill; his siblings, Charles Merrill, Jane, Jeff Merrill, Nora, Nancy Danforth (Merrill), Debbie (Merrill) and Scott Landers; and his friends, Lewis and Joyce Lunn. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
