He was predeceased by: his sons-in-law, Jonathan Chorlian and Ron Ober. He is survived by: his friend Donald Stoops; his son Glen; his siblings, Dr. Ward (Anne Stoops) of New Hampshire and Judy (Chuck Dibble) of New Hampshire; and his grandchildren, Martha Letasz (Bob) of Maine, Dorothy Mason (Peter) of New Hampshire, Al Stoops of New Hampshire, Mary Ober of Ohio, Evelyn Jordan (Bob) of Maine, Glen Stoops (Irene) of Oregon, James Stoops (Andrea) of Maine and Marji McMillan (Jeff) of California. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Though monetary donations in his name to the following organizations would please him, a fitting tribute would be to pause, take your binoculars (we can hear him saying "hold them carefully, they can break!") and watch the flight of a hawk high over the treetops, then hand them to the person next to you so they get a turn.
