With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Italia Bompastore (Greenfield, Massachusetts), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Italia left this world on March 18, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Saverio Bove and Camilla Bove (LoRusso); her husband Nicholas Bompastore; her siblings, Maria DeRossi, Olympia Cipriani, Vincenzo, Armondo and Sergio Bove; her daughter-in-law Joan Bompastore; her nephews, Claudio, Carlos DeRossi and Michael Bompastore; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Bompastore, Mary Yarmac, Dina Bove, Gelio Bompastore and Raymond Yarmac.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony, Paul Bompastore and Rita Coxhead; her son-in-law John Coxhead; her brothers, Guido and Benito Bove; her sisters-in-law, Giuseppina, Maria Teresa and Lucia Bove of Avezzano, Italy; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew, Mathew, Stephen Bompastore, Chris Wilkins, Teresa Bompastore and Gabriella Wilkins; and her great grandchildren, Luke Bompastore, Eli Wilkins and Adalyn Bompastore. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kostanski Funeral Home (220 Federal St, Greenfield, MA 01301). A burial will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (221 Federal St, Greenfield, MA 01301).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
