He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Hohengasser and Maria Julia Hohengasser (Schali); his siblings, Emil, Ernest, Hilda Dejoy, Bertha Bourget, Gladys Rossmeisl and Marguerite Yestramski; his grandsons, Nathan Currier and Robert Hohengasser; and his stepdaughter Deborah Turner.

He is survived by: his wife Yolande; his children, David E. of Greenfield, Ann Woodard of Agawam, Mass and Mary E. Powers of Montague; his stepsons, Daniel R. Turner of Sunderland and Dennis E. Turner of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Mark Hohengasser of Berne, John Hohengasser of Berlin Mass, Cheryl George of Northfield, Joseph Hohengasser of Templeton, MA and Jeffery Woodard of Phoenix, AZ; and his sisters, Irmgard Petersante of Greenfield and Elaine Lundquist. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
