He is survived by: his children, Ken, Kenneth Deso (Tammie) and Shelley Thurston (Tony Thurston) of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Katherine, Alicia Deso, Emmaline and Mason Thurston; and his sisters, Helen Byers of Greenfield and Donna Jackman of Maine. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a community of friends.
