He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira W. Clarke and Ruth Petitpas Clarke (Holden); and his grandparents, George and Mabele Holden (Nancy). He is survived by: his children, Palmetia Fleming of Gilbert, AZ, Randy Clarke (Jorge Benitez) of Tucson, AZ, Shelly Clarke Giddings of Largo, FL, Issac Clarke (Arlene Bromberg) of Rockey Hill, CT, Ivy Clarke (George) and Alex Clarke (Alyssa Laclerc) of Montague; his grandchildren, Veralyn and Makiya; and his siblings, Ira R. Clarke (Pam) of Charlestown, NH and Linda Chinn (Weedy) of Mazeville, GA.. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
