She was predeceased by: her husband Reverend Stephen Davies Howard; and her pets, Sammy, Conrad, Kelsey, Sweet Pea and Hephzibah.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Ann Nicholas of San Diego, CA, Dr. Elisabeth Davies Howard of Providence, RI and Matthew Anson Howard of Amherst, MA.; her grandchildren, Casey, Emily, Annelise, Nicole and Jackson; her brother Carl; and her sister-in-law Beverly Howard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenfield High School or the All Souls Unitarian Church in Greenfield, MA.
