He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley, Sr. and Mellie Todd Conaway; and his siblings, Christine, Betty and Elijah.
He is survived by: his wife Rev. Mattie Conaway; his children, Sylvia Keefner (Mike), Anthony, Lorenzo Conaway, Guillermo Burrowes, Dorothy Grooms (Shawn), John Conaway (Tracy) and Jonathan Earl Kelley; his siblings, Mellie Harrison, Katherine Kelley, Juanita Williams (Glenn), Darlene Dennard (George), Elnita Walker, Gwen Thomas (Benjamin), Charles Conaway (Virginia) and Edward Conaway; his grandchildren, Shawn, Ebony Keefner, Jordan, Xavier Conaway, Anthony, Jr., Nathan, Jessica, Lorenzo John, Wesley, James, Hope, Serria Conaway, Terell Grooms, Courtney Ratcliff, Charles Williams, Tristian and Kamiya Gentle; and his godchildren, Rev. Joallen Forte and Brian Forte. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
