She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Patricia Smith and Mayor of Pittsfield; her sons, Sean O'Brien of Great Barrington and Christopher (Allison) of Rochester, NY; her grandson Tarl; her siblings, Charles Smith Jr. (Mary Louise) of Pittsfield, Christopher Smith (Dale Scalise-Smith) of Hinsdale, Mary Beth Eckert (John) of Pittsfield, Carlton Smith (Sally) of Lanesboro, Kazuo Smith of Pittsfield, Christine Robinson of Springfield and Pearl Pratt of Saint Petersburg, FL; her friends, Katie McTeigue, Jane Beaudoin and Char; her son John O'Brien; and her sister Pamela. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.
