He is survived by: his parents, Albert Stimpson and Carol Stimpson (Koch) of Enfield; his wife Kate M. Stimpson (Golosh); his son Wade Stimpson; his siblings, Mike Stimpson of Enfield and Shana Benis (Joe) of Enfield; his niece Gwen Benis; and his nephew Mikey Stimpson, Jr.. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

“I’m so heartbroken that my family and I just found out of the passing of Steven Stimpson. Steven was my grandson therapist for 8 years we follow him through 3 company that he worked in because he was just amazing therapist to my grandson and my grandson loved him. It saddens me that I have to tell my grandson of the passing of his therapist he’s going to be so heartbroken because Steven was like friend and second father figure to him. I just want to send my condolences to him and his family.”

“Both my boys and I would like to send my condolences to his families and friends. He was both my boys therapist for 2 years now. They spoke every weekend on Saturdays and look forward to seeing him. Unfortunately the last time they spoke with Steve was February 25 and was ready to speak with him on Saturday March 5th and that didn't happen and they were wondering why Steve didn't speak to them. We are saddening about this and he will be greatly missed by our family.”
