It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rena G. (Chagnon) Cote (Granby, Massachusetts), born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 25, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Chagnon and Reina Chagnon (Demers); her son Lionel R. Cote, Jr.; her sons-in-law, Neil Breen and Kenneth Geoffroy; and her siblings, Norman, Edgar, Arthur, Roland Chagnon, Jeannette Norvell and Estelle Hoffman.
She is survived by: her children, Linda M. Breen of Vero Beach, FL, David W. Cote (Carole) of Granby, Steven P. Cote of Denver, CO, Rena M. Geoffroy of Agawam and Sharon A. Smith (Ronald) of Somers, CT; and her daughter-in-law Lana Cote of Chicopee. She is also survived by grandchildren; her 16 cherished great-grandchildren; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 301 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
