It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph M. Lajoie of Granby, Massachusetts, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 14, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lajoie and Aldina Lajoie Mochon (Masse); his wife Cecile Lajoie (Roy); his sisters, Rita Dugre (George), Cecile Lindsay (Janvier) and Theresa Lajoie; and his siblings-in-law, Maurice "Moo" Roy, Ronald "Joe" Roy (Luisa), Jeanine Woolsey (Robert), Helen Balthazard and Aline Fontaine (Gerald "Jim").
He is survived by: his children, Michael "Mike" Lajoie (Karen) of Chicopee, Teresa "Terry" Lajoie of Granby and James "Jim" Lajoie (Missy) of South Hadley; his grandchildren, Amy Lajoie, Adam Lajoie (Courtney Davis), Alyssa Lajoie (Charlie Edgette), Joseph Lajoie (Jineane), Corey Lajoie (Lydia), Heather Bailly (Jon), Katelynn Lajoie, Matthew Lajoie and Nicholas Lajoie; and his great grandchildren, Morgan Lajoie, Ryder Lajoie, Kylie Lajoie, Lorna Lajoie, Collin Lajoie, Madison Bailly and Emma Bailly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to support blind and vision impaired veterans and checks may be made payable to the VIS Post Fund 1034 and mailed to Voluntary Services, VA CWM, 421 North Main Street, Leeds, MA 01053.
